Sunrise is one of the all-time classic silent films. Directed by FW Murnau and released in 1927 it is a visually stunning and haunting fable of human frailty, love, loss and redemption. This screening has the added bonus of being introduced by the rather splendid silent film historian, Kevin Brownlow.
This is a meetup group for people who love or are curious about Silent Film. It is an opportunity to watch silent films in great venues in and around London and to meet and chat to other enthusiasts after the event, over a coffee, drink or a meal.
Hopefully, as well as being fun it will be a way to meet others and to share knowledge.
Let's help keep silent film alive and support the venues that show them!
