Blancanieves

Who says they don't make them like they used to??

This magical silent, black-and-white film is based on the Snow White fairy tale but transported to 1920s Spain. Its as delicious as a rosy-red apple and has its UK theatrical release on 12 July.

If you were not lucky enough to catch it at the London Film Festival last year or at the sell-out Ciné Lumière screening a couple of months ago, now is your chance!

Details of the venue and screening time to follow.

In the meantime you can find the excellent Silent London review here :

Thanks for attending everyone. I agree it is a little lightweight but, curiously enough, for me I enjoyed it even more the second time around as I knew what to expect. It is beautifully filmed and scored and I would urge everyone who loves silent films to catch it before this short tun ends.

Gorgeous movie, nicely updated - I loved the relationship between the girl and her father. Thanks for organizing this!

Exquisitely beautiful film to look at, though a bit lightweight in tone for me, but clearly made with a heartfelt love for silent cinema.

Web Cowgirl - Sorry I can no longer make the 16th. As Marieke has suggested the Monday would you be to content to move the Meetup to that date?

Bit of a rude question perhaps, but the Rio Cinema has discounts on Mondays; any chance you could chance it to Monday?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
