Where did you hear about this group?

Google is our friend :)

How long have you been developing with Java?

A little over seven years, both academically, professionally . I have worked in hybrid PHP/Java roles for the past two years.

What are your favourite technologies at the moment?

Spring, Hibernate, JAX-B, Maven, Log4J, Velocity, ActiveMQ, Neo4J to name a few. I still absolutely love ANT as a build tool (works well for PHP projects as well as Java in continuous integration set-ups) but have lately warmed up to Maven for Java projects with serious dependencies.

Would you be interested in hearing about any new Java permanent or contract positions at present? (if yes please add which would be of more interest)

At the moment I'm quite settled and need a good long period of location, career and financial stability for family reasons. I reserve the right to consider such roles in the future.

Introduction

Male, 28 years old, London based for the past 3 years (living in Richmond and working in Shoreditch). Head of Software Development at Byng Systems Ltd. Like to think I take an open-minded approach to team/community development.
