Hi  guys
I am non developer, however I am much interested in learning Java,
I found Open university introductory course "object - oriented Java Programming  M250", starting in September ' to be the best course to get into learning java, I am enrolling myself for this course, if anyone interest, you can contact me, for further information, to avoid paying excessive fees, register  before  31 August 2012.

A really good book is often as good as or better than many "introductory" courses.  For a tech-savvy BA I suggest they first read:

Head First Java
Thinking in Java

Then they should just try and write something for themselves and Google for answers when they get stuck :-)

Hi guys,

It seems silly to be even asking this question, but I find myself in
the (shocking) position of not knowing the answer.  Are there any good
"Intro to Java" courses for non-developers?  I'm not entirely certain
of the experience level we're talking about, but let's assume a
tech-savvy BA, as opposed to a developer in any other language or
non-technical person.  I wouldn't expect course attendees to be
writing anything serious at the end of it, in fact it would be enough
to have an understanding of what OO is, and the basic syntax of Java.

Any pointers?
