A few months back in a Developer Sessions event a good natured disagreement erupted... not like the usual conversations at Developer Sessions such as Scala vs Clojure, or where the future of Java was going... this was a disagreement over who would win in a fight on the old Super Nintendo classic Street Fighter 2 :-) We joked about bringing in an old school console to the Developer Sessions event to settle it.
I wanted to get your thoughts on whether this is something people would like to have in the background at the Developer Sessions events. Perhaps running head to head games on a few classics like Super Mario Kart or Street Fighter 2 etc. It could be held in the corner and there just as a bit of fun or as an ice breaker. If it were a popular decision it could lead to competitions or similar...
We discussed it amongst the LJC organisers and there was certainly a lot of interest in doing something like this at the Developer Sessions events so I thought I'd find out if there was similar enthusiasm from the LJC itself?
- Would you want to have a console at the event?
- Do you think it would take away from or add to the event?
- Are there any old school classic games that you'd like to see?
