Do you think there should be an LJC awards ceremony?

We are considering running an LJC awards ceremony but have had some strong views both ways so want to guage the level of interest from the membership before we make a decision.

Does an interview before a tech test make a difference to how much effort you put in?

Would interviewing with a company or highlighting them as a place you want to work for make a difference in how much time and effort you put in to the test?

Which type of technical tests do you believe are more effective - timed or untimed?

Companies have a variety of technical tests, some companies opt to bring you in to their offices, whilst others allow you to complete the test at home, but which do you find are more valuable to you?

Last time you were interviewing for a role how many tests did you complete?

The last time you were interviewing for a new position, how many technical tests, for different companies, did you have to complete in the process?

What time would you prefer the Meetups to start?

Nicola has been doing some feedback calls with our members and one thing that has come up a few times is that some members are struggling to get to the venue at 6:30 and that 7:00 would be a better time to start the events. We are interested to know if this view is shared by the majority. There are no guarantee's and we would need to discuss this with our sponsors, but it may be possible, if we get enough votes, to move the events back slightly.
