Pet Fair in the Park

The SoCal Animal Response Team holds its eighth annual Pet Fair in the Park on September 29th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Long Beach Marine Stadium Park.  The event features an animal talent contest, low-cost vaccines, $20 microchips, food trucks, opportunity drawings, pet foods, and more.  All proceeds benefit the organization and allow it to respond, train and educate the public.  The nonprofit invites all to come out.

We stayed at the Pet Fair for about an hour. It was o.k., not too organized and people were still setting up when we left. So Alex had a wonderful idea and we all left to HB and had a blast. Our Danes had a lot of fun meeting new Danes and informing them of our group. Sorry Duke, Jessie is in love with Beckett now. They had so much fun and wore themselves out until they were literally laying on each other. Instead of our usual 5:30am "pee time" (LOL), she slept another 3 hrs. TMI, I know. Look forward to seeing everybody at the Blessing this Sat : )

Does anyone know if there is a fee to park or to get in the fair?

Not likely, as the vendors will likely take up that portion of the area for setup. You can find parking on neighboring streets, as wll as the long one that wraps around the entire park area.

Cheryl, it really doesn't say, does it? I think the parking there is free, but I really don't remember. I'm guessing it's free to get in, but a fee to enter contests, and they will make $ from raffle ticket sales and
other sources, but I really don't know for sure.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
