Hi, guys. Just got surprise from my hubby that we will go San Francisco this weekend. Sorry I can't join this one. Miss you guys!
have fun Julia! We will miss you. See you next month
I am going to make the Creamy Artichoke and Asparagus Lasagna from April Cooking Light.

I was going to make the Linguine with Garlicky Kale and White Beans but after looking at the recipe again, I don't think it will be very exciting and is supposed to be served immediately. Is it okay for me to find something else in the April Cooking Light issue that would compliment the other dishes?
Welcome new members Lynn and Elaine.....

I'll be there! Let me know what to bring. I have failed miserably at baking kale chips so welcome the advice. Please let me know what I should bring - I'm new and not sure how the group works just yet. :-)

I'd be happy to bring a batch of kale chips too - I have finally perfected them after about 10 attempts.
2 · March 18, 2014
maybe you can share your technique, I've tried making them several times and I've been unhappy with the results
1 · March 18, 2014
I probably made them 5-7 times before I finally got it right. Preheat oven to 275-300. Curly kale should be taken off stems and cut into smaller pieces. Key step is to make sure kale is dry before tossing with a little olive oil, s&p and whatever else (a little cayenne) you want. Make sure kale is in single layer on sheet pan. Start with 10 minutes and go a few minutes more at a time if not crispy. I'll try to bring to next meeting.

Ok, I must be a dweeb :), can't find the recipes, but I downloaded the April issue of Cooking Light Magazine, can I bring the Greek Orzo Salad? I will try and find a Gluten-Free Orzo...
It would be great if you could bring a main dish! We have enough salads.
I see that the recipes are from the current issue of Cooking Light which I got last week. I am always looking at tasty vegetarian dishes. Is it okay if I make the Linguine with garlicky kale and white beans in that issue?
Sorry, I see Julia already is making the Cranberry-Pistachio Energy Bars, I will make, Grilled Leek and Radicchio Salad with Citrus-Walnut Vinaigrette.

The next cooking club meeting is April 13. I just sent out the menu. You need to choose what you want to bring if you attending and post it. Lillian

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
