I might meet like minded people who also enjoy classical music, or even jazz which I also admire. I might be able to pick up some good tips. You guys like piano!
My two older brothers received lessons but didn't stick with it so my parents decided not to bother with giving me lessons, so tragically I missed out on getting an early start. I listened to a lot of Chopin and Mozart throughout high school and in college I made friends with piano majors who taught me quite a bit. I've always been an autodidact so I bought a Kirzweil Mark 2 and began learning pieces. It's been about 10 years since and I've forgotten my Mozart and Beethoven but have worked to put together a rather decent Chopin repertoire which is admittedly not too extensive. I stick to the slower movements, but beautiful ones nonetheless. In my fantasies I can play Scherzos.
June but I wish it were July 4.
Hi. I love classical music and piano music in particular. My favorite composer is Chopin obviously, but I also like Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Bach, etc etc. I can listen to music all day.
