Planting Fields Arboretum Spring Walk

This is one of the most popular events in this group the spring walk in Planting Fields Arboretum. The Rhododendrons and Azaleas are in full bloom with the reds, pinks, purples, and whites. The Magnolias are starting to bloom and you have the beautiful cherry blossoms as well in full bloom. Bring your cameras.

We will be meeting in front of the Synoptic Garden and be starting our event there. We will be walking through the synoptic garden and we will be seeing other gardens as well like the Dwarf Conifer Garden and Heather Garden. We will take a nice walk around the park and the we will visit the 2 greenhouses at the end. This event will be about 90 minutes or so.  There is a $8 admission fee at the front gate. I will ask one favor Please do not bring your dogs.

are you going to show up this time?

First I do not see your name on the list as coming. Second I am the organizer and do not answer to anyone but me. If you do not like the way I run the group then leave that simple. I do not have time to deal with this nonsense or difficult people.

I wish I could meet fellow gardeners but I have a commitment with my yacht club tomorrow. I was at Planting Fields yesterday and you are IN LUCK. The blossoms are STILL on the Japanese cherry trees and the magnolias. It will be beautiful tomorrow. The greenhouse is spectacular and, of course, the camelia house has basically spent all their blossoms for the season. enJOY the outing. Wear sneakers! kind regards, Linda

Linda, would you be interested in going together? I always get lost when trying to get there. I live in Lynbrook. If not, is there anyone else near me that would be willing to go with me?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
