RE: [Long-Island-Meetup-and-Go] Dinner at Domenico's

Let's be fair. It is possible that Aurora does not understand what she did
to cause the messages to appear in her 'in" box. If that is the case, they
can be quite annoying, especially if you subscribe to several lists.

Aurora, these messages are coming from a group on meetup.com. When you sign
up for membership in the group, you will receive messages of upcoming
events. What is happening here is that, instead of sending RSvP's through
the website, people are simply hitting the "reply" button in their mail
program. This causes their replies to go to the entire group.

If you don't wish to receive these messages, you have two options. One is
to drop out of the group which would be very unfortunate. The other would
be to go to the website where I believe you can adjust your preferences so
that you can still be a member, but you won't get any mail. The only
problem with that is that you'll have to remember to check the website for
event information.

Until now, I have resisted the urge to reply to your messages both because
that creates more mail and because I thought the group leader might wish to
respond himself. But I see that people are becoming frustrated and so I
thought this might help.

Hope to meet all of you soon.

Don

calm yourself down.......you obviously signed up for the group or
there would be no way you would get them. Anyway, it is
harmless......people making arrangements for a meetup. No need for the
hysteria. And only you can take yourself off.
