ATTENTION: We are now AGA certified http://www.usgo.org/where-play-go?state=NY#listing and we have our own room on KGS under rooms>clubs>Long Island Go Club. If any of you would like to join the AGA so you can go to tournaments then it would be best to do it through our chapter because you get 50% off. Please email me if you have any questions. I've just moved to Huntington and was told that Long Island Go club was disbanded a few years ago due to Milt Bradley dying. I'd like get the club going again, anyone's welcome whether you are well versed or know absolutely nothing about go. If you know nothing about go but want to get out and try something new then please do. I'm more than willing to teach anyone. It's a very easy game to learn but it's much like chess. The rules are easy but it's all about increasing your skill level and continually getting better. This guy has a great explanation of the basic rules if you scroll down http://gafferongames.com/virtualgo/introduction-to-virtual-go/. You can also find beginner videos on the AGA website http://www.usgo.org. All ages welcome, but if under 16 please bring a parent/guardian. You can always get better. Hope to hear from you :)
