Saturdays are a great time to learn. We'll be hosting a class or two on most Saturdays and holding an open house for anyone interested in dropping by from noon to 5 on Saturdays (as long as we have at least one member holding down the fort).
Normally we'll have a specific class teaching on a specific subject.
However, on the off times we don't have a class, Dav will be hosting an Open Skill Share session. That's what we'll be doing this week.
What's an open skill share? It's a little like an open mic, but, instead of comedy (although if you have an act.. hey.. take a shot), you share some of your skills. It could be demos of a project you've been working on, skill shares of something you're good at (like, say, backyard grain production and grinding, home brewing, keeping urban chickens, how to set up a solar panel, DIY audio mixing, how to use Illustrator (or solidworks, or any program you're good at), making friggin awesome meatballs, designing effective T-shirt graphics, the basic of how to paint with watercolors, the short version of how to print on a 3D printer, how to become a bee keeper or making a fire tornado, anything really), or maybe a performance by one of our hidden guitar virtuosos, or some silly fun (pictionary?), whatever people feel like doing. As long as a bit of knowledge get's shared between two or more people, well, that's a win win for everyone. For a quick overview from a company doing something like this, watch this short video.
