Monthly Maintenance Meeting

6pm, Tuesday, before the weekly meeting.

We're not doing as good a job at keeping the space as cleaned up as we could.  Our Toolmaster, Ally, does a great job with the time she has, but she's not our janitor.

So, once a month, we need to have a half dozen or so people show up and clean up the space.  Take out the trash (we're going to need someone with a pickup for this first batch), clean the bathroom, vacuum the floor (anyone have a vacuum they can donate?  Ours is on it's very last legs)  and general straightening and getting the place reasonably usable for all of us.

If necessary, we may do this more often (weekly?  Every other week?), we'll see how once a month works for now.

The sudden sideways snow, and weather reports have dampened my spirits for a drive north in a serious way...

Like Troy, I'd find it easier to stay after for the MX.

Bah, hitting [enter] posts comments. Sorry for the double post. I was about to add that you might get more participation if food was in the offing given that it's right at dinner time. If I can't make it at 6 I'll stay after to do the cleaning.

I'm in. I'll bring my truck. I might not be able to be there right at 6 though.

So, this is going to be a mandatory for everyone who's a member. We'll figure out the math (i.e. how often everyone has to help) and get a tracking mechanism set up in the next couple of weeks.

Look only one person signed up so far. Um hmmm.

This should be done once a week and be a mandatory scheduled responsibility for all members. Remember the history of the pilgrims? Famine and death when it was a general communal thing. Abundance and health when plots got assigned. If you don't all have to everyone thinks, "Oh, someone else will do it."
