Snowy Plover Nature Walk at Dockweiler Beach with LA Audubon

The nature walk focuses on general beach ecology with an emphasis on the federally threatened Snowy Plover.

Binoculars will be provided.

Families are welcome but children may need help from parents with using binoculars.

Nature walk participants meet and return to the lobby of the Dockweiler Youth Center.

If you drive, enter the Dockweiler Youth Center facility to pay a reduced parking fee.

The youth center is also easily accessed by bike from the beach path.

Loved this walk and we hit the perfect day. Saw all sorts of Shore Birds, Willets, Cormorants, Western, California and Ring Billed Gules. And we were lucky enough to see two cute little Snowy Plovers.
