Los Angeles Audubon is a 501( c) 3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to promote the enjoyment and protection of birds and other wildlife through environmental education, conservation and habitat restoration. An important strategic goal is to provide after-school environmental education targeting under-served youth and their communities in the urban core. The bird walks are free - but you can help support our youth education programs and conservation work by becoming a member. We hope that you will become a member and we invite you to participate in our volunteer restoration work and other events that you will find posted on our website.
Monthly Bird Walks with Los Angeles Audubon. Join experienced bird walk leaders who will help you explore the varied habitat in and around the greater Los Angeles Area. All are welcome, but no pets or small children, please. Appropriate for young bird watchers age 6 years and older. Enjoy woodland nature areas, parklands and lakes, natural coastal scrub habitat and saltwater marshes. Binoculars are provided on many of the walks. Bird walks are geared for the beginner/intermediate birders looking for an introduction to local birds. LAAS bird walks and field trips delve into identification, natural histories and interactions observed in the field. Binoculars are provided on some walks as noted below.
