Join us on Sunday afternoon November 23rd at the Chaplin theatre at Raleigh studios for our first fundraising event . There will be a presentation of the ASSORV (association to help orphan and destitute children in Vietnam ) followed by the movie “The owl and the sparrow” by Stephane Gauger (see attached synopsis and review). There will be cocktails and food after the movie as well as a silent auction For more information go to our website www.assorvca.com There is still seats available for the showing so make your reservation by going to our website www.assorvca.com under “next event”. Warm weather forecast this weekend, so let's take advantage of it! NEW TIME!!! Bring your own baguette, a plate of cheese, a bottle of wine or anything else you'd like to snack on as we go do BYO conversation in the park. The park is not that big, so you'll find us. It's on the South side, just next to the kids' playground and a few steps from the parking lot and rec building. It is NOT next to the tennis courts on the north side. RSVP'ing 'NO' isn't necessary. Join us at a new location. Looks like a nice cozy place, with some outside dining. If enough people rsvp will attempt to get a nice outside table. Please bring cash and do not ask for serarate checks. It's a lot of extra work for the servers and they often get a smaller tip or none at all with large groups. That's why they commonly add an automatic tip of 18% or so. Please note, due to a shortage of $35 paid at La Poubelle, please be prepared to pay up front if asked. That difference was paid out of my own pocket, and as much as I like the group, I'm not paying for your lunch again! Call Bret's cell if lost 818 425 8096
