Advice from Cher Horowitz from the classic film Clueless: "You should read one non-school book a week." This advice applies not only to high school girls, but also to lesbians, queers, gay ladies. The LA Gay Lady Book Club is for women who want to read one cool book a month, and we'll be taking suggestions on what to read from the club's members. The books we read may or may not be lesbian/queer themed, but the Ladies who attend probably will be ;) (gay/lesbian/bi/queer, trans family welcome) Regardless, the books will be awesome, and the Ladies will be too. Reasons we wanted to start the LA Gay Lady Book Club: 1) there is a need - there's a Lesbian Book Club in Pasadena, and some women's book clubs on the Westside, but we wanted a queer ladies' club that is more centrally located; 2) we have lots of friends who read books and we want to read books with them; 3) we want to meet other book-loving, vag-loving womyn!! Lez read some books, fagelles!
