Los Angeles Hack Night

Bring your own laptop and a project to work on.

What to expect

Expect to find people sitting around tables talking about and working on their own projects. We don't have presentations, introductions, or structure so bring your own project, introduce yourself, ask people "what are you working on", find a seat and get yourself set up, hack away on your project, and have fun. Recruiters, spectators, etc. are not allowed.

RSVP

Leave a comment about what you're working on so others can see what you're up to.

Hey everybody, sorry about the RSVP and no show. I had some family issues and will try to cancel the RSVP in the future if I can't make it.

I am passing through LA to SF and just came across this hack night. I may be bringing a guest, and there is also a chance that it won't be actually possible for me to attend. I'm really looking forward to this though .

Continue to work on my first Python web app that uses Facebook and runs Google App Engine. Tonight, I will be trying to figure out how to use location data and optimize Facebook Graph API calls using the fql (Facebook query language). Any advice would be appreciated!

If anyone is in Orange County today I would gladly lend a handful of arLCD's (color touchscreen Arduino!) for people to play with tonite [masked] x 222:

Cool, can't wait to get down to business. I'll be working on a Google finance parser in PHP, and planning a number crunching tool based on that data.
