The MongoDB Support team diagnoses and resolves dozens of performance-related issues each week.  In this talk, William Zola will describe the only three causes of slow MongoDB performance, how to detect which one you're having, and will outline what to do about each one. 

SPEAKER

William is a Member of Technical Staff at MongoDB, Inc.  He first started in Technical Support in 1988, when he worked his way through college doing Tech Support..  Since then he's worked throughout Silicon Valley as a Senior Support Engineer for companies both large and small.  During his career, William has supported developers, end users, and DBAs in a variety of products and technologies.  William is currently the most senior member of the MongoDB Inc. Americas Support team.

PARKING

Factual is in the Gateway West building, next to the Westfield Century City mall on the east side. It's the only building with big red "Westfield" signs on top.

The best place for attendees to park is at the Westfield Century City Mall.  Please note that they no longer offer free parking for the first 3 hours.  Parking rates are as follows:

•0 to 3 hours: $1.00 per hour

•3 to 5 hours: $1.00 every 15 minutes

•5 hours or more: $24.00

•Daily Maximum: $24.00
