Samhain Celebration

Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) is an opportunity to reset—to release what no longer serves us, to reinvent ourselves anew—and to honor those people, pets, and things that have left our lives. We are come into the time of mystery, the time of introspection, the time of that-which-is-hidden. The veil is at its thinnest. The Celts held that, when this happened, we are outside or suspended from time, and the normal laws of the world are held in abeyance. Not only is the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest at this time, the veil between all the worlds is vulnerable. Each person possesses a realm that he or she creates and visits; it is a place where you alone own the palace and the land, a magically vivid interior landscape where you alone are sovereign. At this time of the thinning of the veils, you have even clearer access to that place. This is a time of immense spiritual energy.

In addition to a multi-traditional ritual, we will be making offerings for the Ancestors’ Altar, and there will be a potluck feast. Please bring things that reminds you of those you wish to honor, a candle in glass, an idea of what you want to leave behind, and a wheat-free entrée to share. Feel free to dress as the person or archetype you’d like to become!

We ask for a $20 donation, but give what you can.

SJ Tucker on 3 out of the 4. The songs were from her Blessings album - For the Love of All Who Gather, the Reprise of the same, and Witches' Rune. I don't recall of the top of my head the attribution for the Mother of Darkness chant, I can look it up.
