Reclaiming LA & Cross Pollinate present a workshop and ritual with STARHAWK, one of the most respected voices in modern Goddess religion who is also a global justice activist and Permaculture designer/teacher.

In the WORKSHOP "Mother Earth's Transition Team" we will consider how the dire reality of climate change challenges us to remake society…quickly. If we fail, we’ll suffer destruction on a global scale. But this threat is also a great opportunity to create a new world rooted in community and ecological balance. How do we join Mother Earth's Transition Team? What shifts in consciousness are needed and what actions do we need to take? How do we nurture resilient communities locally and create justice globally to heal our world?

After the workshop and a delicious organic meal with our community, we will anticipate the longest night of the year with a Winter’s Dream RITUAL & SPIRAL DANCE led by Starhawk and Reclaiming LA featuring music by Miranda Rondeau and Sunny Solwind. Join us in sacred space as we dance the spiral, celebrate community, and rebirth our selves and our world. [In support of those in recovery, this ritual is drug and alcohol free.]

Starhawk is one of the most respected voices in modern Goddess religion and earth-based spirituality. She has authored or co-authored twelve books, including her classic tome "The Spiral Dance" and futuristic novel "The Fifth Sacred Thing", now in development as a feature film. A veteran of progressive movements, and deeply committed to bringing the techniques and creative power of spirituality to political activism, Starhawk directs and teaches Earth Activist Trainings, which combine a Permaculture design certificate course with a grounding in spirit and a focus on organizing and activism.

Reclaiming LA is a community of women and men in the greater Los Angeles area who celebrate earth-based spirituality in support of justice in all its forms – environmental, social, political, racial, gender, and economic.

Cross Pollinate is an opportunity for Los Angeles women to connect with one another in a supportive environment to share ideas, resources, and projects.
