She's not a poet, but Lyudmila Petrushevskaya is one of my favorite novelists! Does that count? We studied more novels than poets at my university.
volleyball, hiking, snowboarding..I like picnics. I've never been horseback riding but would like to.
Well, studied for 3 years (which included some time in a Russian University). I returned to the US in 2011, and have just had a really difficult time keeping it up. I'm also new to LA, so I don't know any Russians here. However, I keep it up by chatting up random Russians that I see in Starbucks or in the grocery store :-)
I lived in Moscow (4 months while still in school) and for 1 year after I graduated.
The language..it's like music. I love hearing Russians talk. It's very animated; I think it's beautiful language. And surprisingly, I was much better at it than I was at French (which I gave up for Russian).
Privet! My name is Marlena. I studied Russian for 3 years while at Stanford, and lived in Moscow for a little over a year. Sadly, I have forgotten a lot of the language since I returned last year, but am VERY MUCH wanting to get back into it.
