We are the owners of Soma Fitness and our goal is to help people release their inner superhero!!! Accomplishing fears they never thought possible for themselves! We created the Soma Superheroes Socal Spartan Sprint team in July 2014 and planned to race September 14th, 2014 in Temecula, CA; however, the race was postponed to January 18th, 2015 due to extreme heat. We were ready to win and had trained 1-2 times twice weekly. We did great at the January race and had so much fun! We have signed up for the 2015 SoCal sprint in September and I'm sure there will be sweltering heat this time as well. To successfully finish and be competitive in any spartan race, training is necessary! Because the Spartan Race is such an amazing way to connect with friends and make new ones we’ve decided to host $5 Spartan training meetups and invite you to join our team! Each weekly training session will be held at various Los Angeles area outdoor locations like Runyon Canyon, Griffith park, Fryman Canyon, Santa Monica and Jefferson stairs, Kenneth Hahn Park, and Lake Hollywood. These training sessions will include running, sprinting, hill training, hiking, and plyometrics to help us with our endurance. We will also post weekly Soma Superheroes approved recipes and workouts on our site www.SomaFitness.com to help you build the muscle and strength you’ll need for race day!
