The Council’s mission is to connect people with garden space in their neighborhood with a view to building healthier communities and promoting the growth of fresh, local produce. LACGC oversees the management of 27 community gardens and offers workshops to facilitate the sharing of best practices across more than 100 community gardens. LACGC is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization which relies on public support for its programs.

OK I updated the schedule for the day. Our presentation is at 1:30 but the event starts at 8:30. You will be directed to park in a lot adjacent to the school. The LA Community Garden Council shares a harvest of topical workshops, lunch and resource fair for food growers and neighborhood changers across LA County. All is included for a suggested donation of $25.

Just wanted to let people know that I am still waiting to hear the time that we'll be speaking. It's supposed to be in the afternoon but the exact time is still up in the air. The 8:30 time is just the start of the conference.

I'm going to be there as Gardenerd giving a class on Biointensive gardening. I'll have a table for Gardening for Geeks, but if I can swing by and answer questions I will. We can lob them back and forth.
