Our barn has chicks constantly, so it seems. Right now we have 6 day old chicks and we have three or four 6 month old ones.  I don't think they are any particular breed, but they are prolific egg layers.
Burbank area.
The day old ones are not so easy to get hold of as the mother hen is very protective.
