    Oh my goodness, is your chicken on your house or garage roof?! Can they fly that high?! What breed is she? nice coloring.

    Dixie is a bantam chicken (she appears much larger than her actual size in this photo). We rescued her from the Lacy Street animal shelter- they couldn't tell us her breed or age. Here she is pictured on the roof of our barn, which she flew up to on her own. Our standard sized Plymouth Barred Rock chickens can't fly nearly as high, as little Dixie.
