Hi! I'm curious about Ruby and Ruby on Rails - would like to learn a little, and then perhaps more. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
1 - I coded a few web pages in HTML back in the mid-90s. Lost the thread when Java came to rule the earth. So maybe 0.5.
Thank you, Tamara for the greeting. We've been wanting to participate in an LA V group for awhile. See you later today!!
Thank you for the email yesterday, I think it's really great you are carrying on that tradition. We are very excited to meet other V owners, and hear some of their tips on training and lifestyle. I work from home so my V is very close to me and we have had some issues with her being shy during Zoom Room classes, so we can't wait to get her around some other Vs. Once she gets a little older I can't wait to join the 'meetups' :) I look forward to meeting you!
Yes, they do make their presence known. They really are nut jobs but they worm their way into your heart. Our V was named Vicki (really it was Veruschka, a good Hungarian name) and she was as crazy & beautiful as the long-legged supermodel she was named after. She lived to be 16, so we got to enjoy her for a long time. I'm happy that your clan gets along with your beaks...that's my biggest fear about getting a dog. Who knows, I may join your group just to get a "nose schnozzle"!
I just wanted to drop you a quick note because I saw your reference to Vizslas. I grew up with the most amazing Vizlas (sock-thief extraordinaire). I still miss her pink nose. Now I have 5 beaks! Tell me about your doggies so I can get my Vizsla fix. Best regards, Andie
Hi there! Thanks for joining my YA fiction group. Hope to meet you soon.
Hi Tamara! would love to go on walks during the week with my 2 Viz, Cody & Sentry.
Oh thank you!! We love dogs in general so when we got married we agreed that we wanted no kids and would always have dogs. We also have a shiba inu unfortuantely we just had to put our american bulldog down (he had cancer). So now we are down to Teague and Kyra. We have never owned a Vizsla and I know only other V owners know that it is an experience that everyone should have in their lifetime! He is truly our best friend and yes our vacations are planned around the doggies. We'll compare notes!
Hi Tamara! Thanks for the welcome and offer of help. Have you gotten your chickens yet? Right now I'm leaning towards the Easter Eggers because so many rave about their personalities and egg laying. I also have concerns about my dog - he's a border collie/bernese mtn. dog mix, not at all aggressive, but will want to be around the chickens constantly... so I will need some pretty tolerant birds :) I'd love to hear your experience so far!
