Road Trip to the Mission Inn's Festival of Lights

Still recovering from Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Hannukah? Don't feel like shopping this Saturday?  Let's head to the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside to witness the Festival of Lights, one of the most beloved holiday events in Southern California.

For more than two decades, the block-long Mission Revival hotel that opened in 1876 becomes etched in lights (nearly 4 million this year!) and fresh snow as horse-drawn carriages and Santa Clause nudge everyone into the next holiday season.

Besides the light extravaganza there are lots of other things to do, including ice skating, live entertainment, the Artisan's Collective arts market, shopping and dining along Main Street.

But sincere there was only one person, I suppose I'm not letting down too many people.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
