5:00 P.M.

BATHING THE BABY BUDDHA CEREMONY

FOLLOWED BY

 TRADITIONAL VIETNAMESE MUSIC AND DANCES

AND A VEGETARIAN DINNER

(The Celebration will continue untill 10:00 P.M.)

"We warmly invite you to join us for this special day.

It is a day of us to express our gratitude to the Buddha, our spiritual Teacher, for teaching us the art of dwelling peacefully in the present moment and the art of how to be a beautiful person.

It is also an occasion for us to rejuvenate the Buddha nature inside of us.

We all have the capacity to be enlighten in the here and in the now."

Join us for a delightful evening to celebrate DAI LE PHAT DAN—the day of Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and paranirvana—including Bathing The Baby Buddha Ceremony as well as traditional Vietnamese music, food, and Lion Dance. The celebration will also include a Dharma Talk by Venerable Thich Chan Huong Hue, followed by a chanting session, and a Vietnamese vegan dinner.

The “bathing” refers to a ceremonial bathing of a statue of the baby Buddha in perfumed water, to remind people to keep a clean mind, free from all obstacles and to awaken and cultivate their True Nature. The Celebration will be conducted in Vietnamese with some English translation.

This event is open to the public and offered on a donation basis in the Buddhist spirit of generosity and inclusiveness. Thus, your generosity in providing a donation or Dana for the Temple and the monastic Sangha is gratefully accepted and encouraged. Your kind donation helps support the activities of the Four-fold Sangha (e.g., defray the costs associated with building the new meditation hall, offering Dharma activities, beverages and meals) and is greatly appreciated.

We were very excited to come, but our guests just told us that they are coming way too late. We're disappointed, but have fun!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
