OVER 100 members and GROWING!!!!

It's a Fiesta!!! YES!!! We did it!!! We broke the 100 AMIGOS mark. We are growing and having FUN. I am so incredibly excited to see Salsa getting closer and closer to being a part of Loudoun's culture, recreation, and entertainment. Who can think of a better way to meet FUN and EXCITING people than hanging out with some FUN and EXCITING people?! A HUGE THANK YOU TO JENNIFER our assistant organizer for all her continuing support. Woooot!!!

You know, I wasn't asked to dance all night either, but I refused to sit out. ;-) I ended up dancing from 11-1:30 after I figured out I'd have to ask for the dances. I know it's hard to ask someone to dance, so let's not leave all the burden up to the salseros! ;-) In time, we'll all be able to laugh about being wallflowers at our first intro. =)”

      “Hi Veronica! I can sympathize with your feelings. I've been dancing for 20 years and every time I go into a new place, I get a very awkward feeling. That is what I love about MeetUps. If you attempt to get out regularly, then we start making some new friends. I didn't know anyone I was dancing with at Obi and I found I was the one asking for dances all night. This is okay!! This is a newer group so let's keep it crazy local!!! =)”

      “Hey Veronica - there were people there who knew each other on Saturday, but, what you were watchin is Salsa Rueda. It is a called, Cuban dance. The people dancing were not part of one group - but - part of DC Rueda Meetup that was also there (there were 3 meetups). Some of the people dancing didn't know each other actually. So don't assume that. But since they knew the calls, they could join in - which - makes it a great way to get to know people. I'll send you an email too.”
