Gourmet in the Gardens: A Progressive Dinner in the Gardens

Gourmet in the Garden: A Progressive Dinner in the Gardens

Enjoy an outdoor fine dining experience unique to the Red Stick area - Gourmet in the Gardens: A Progressive Dinner in the Gardens is a gourmand’s delight. This culinary event will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden, 4560 Essen Lane at I-10. Support is provided by the Burden Horticulture Society.

This event features 10-15 renowned, award-winning, local chefs from the area’s top restaurants preparing gastronomic delights at three locations in the Botanic Gardens. The event benefits the Gardens at Burden and educational programs of the LCI Foundation, a non-profit organization creating scholarships for tomorrow’s culinary leaders. There also will be a competition for Louisiana Culinary Institute student chefs, as well as a “people’s choice” tasting competition among the various professional chefs.

Tickets are just $60 per person, in advance, and include local beverages and live music. They can be purchased through a secured Eventbrite site. Click Here to Purchase Tickets . At the door, tickets will cost $70 per person. There will be designated culinary stations located throughout the Burden Center, particularly in the Botanic Gardens. Dessert and dancing will take place in the soon-to-be-completed Pavilion. Original cocktails by local mixologists will also be among the offerings.

In keeping with the event’s “Louisiana local” theme, come enjoy food created by local restaurants and their chefs using local vegetables, herbs, and more. For more information, log on to our facebook page or call (225)[masked] ext 2.
