Special Event!! Scientific Paranormal Investigation Workshop by Benjamin Radford

Ever wondered how a person goes about investigating a haunted house, a Bigfoot sighting, or a crop circle? In movies and on television it looks easy, but how do real-life paranormal investigators discover what really happened, separating truth from myth? (Hint: Ghost Hunters ain't it!)

Come find out in a unique, 2.5-hour intensive workshop taught by Benjamin Radford, a professional, science-based paranormal investigator. He will share his experience and insights gained over a decade of first-hand field investigations of mysterious phenomena. Drawing from dozens of case studies involving monsters, psychics, and ghosts, Ben will explain the step-by-step process in investigations, including critical thinking, evaluating unusual claims, interviewing eyewitnesses, and conducting field experiments.

Tickets are $30. Admission includes an investigations workbook and a discount on Radford's new book, Scientific Paranormal Investigation. You can pay in advance here using Paypal, or you can pay me in advance over snail mail, just email me for details.

We'll meet at Mulligan's Pub, in the upstairs room. Feel free to arrive at 6:00 if you'd like to order dinner. The workshop will begin at 7:00.

NOTE: This will be the second of two events featuring Benjamin Radford. The first is a presentation "Reflections on a Decade of Paranormal Investigation" on Monday, September 27, at 7pm. RSVP for the events separately here. People who attend BOTH events will get a $10 refund!!

Workshop is limited to 30 attendees.

The workshop was very thorough, covering basic concepts of logic and investigation, more detailed descriptions of specific methodology, and numerous case studies. Quality investigations, whether into normal or paranormal phenomena, take research, planning, and plenty of time. Ben Radford's workshop and accompanying book give you the tools to undertake scientific investigations. Also, it was funny and entertaining!

Because we attended both the lecture and the workshop last night, the first part of last night was a bit redundant. However, it got more interesting during the second half when we could ask questions and discuss particular topics of interest to us. Overall, it was an interesting evening. Ben really knows his stuff!
