All the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill the history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill at dancing. The only place where a stranger comes towards you with open arms every few minutes or so. Contra Dance combines good live music, areobic exercise and lots of harmless flirting. What could be better in life. This is the dancing our American ancestors did  Saturday nights.  They called it barn dancing.
