Hiking in largest urban forest.

I love hiking in this forest. It is very peaceful and full of geocaches. The hiking is usually moderate with some steep areas. Most caches are located away from the trails so expect to do some bushwhacking through areas where you will encounter bugs and thorn bushes.

What to bring: gps device, pen, tweezers, sun screen, snack, and water, water, water! Hydration is very important.

This was fun. Although I couldn't finish the trail physically, my family had a good time with nice people. Thanks for putting this together Shawn.

Alright everyone, it is geocaching eve! Forecast is calling for some scatter showers but nothing to bad. Remember to try and get there on time if possible and don't forget to bring some water.

Karen needs to un RSVP too. We are going camping this weekend. But rest assured we will see if there is a cache where we are camping. Somewhere at Land between the lakes. Anyone familiar?

This would be my first time joining the group and I'm unfamiliar with this area. I have a meeting to attend at noon on Saturday. Can I assume it would be no problem for me to cut out around 11AM?
    Thanks.

Hi H.L. Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. Jefferson Forest is not too far from I-265. Just take the New Cut Rd exit south and follow the signs.
