Louisville Hash #88 - Super Shiggy Hash - 9/8/12 @ 3pm - William F. Miles Park

OK, I am in the mood for massive shiggy!!! Any input will be reviewed.

Louisville Hash #88 - Super Shiggy Hash - 9/8/12 @ 3pm - William F. Miles Park - 15712 Shelbyville Rd., 40245
(Shelbyville Road and Miles Park Way, 2 miles east of I-265 aka Blue Heron Rd)
38°13'50.24"N 85°28'5.25"W

Get on the Gene Snyder and go to the US-60 exit #27. Go East on US-60 for a little over 2 miles and turn right into the park. Don't let the psuedo entrance across from the Valhalla golf course fool you, keep going just a little farther! Go into park about .4 miles and look for the canoe launch parking on your right.

We will be getting wet and shiggy encrusted on this one! Make sure to bring a change of clothes and shoes! Meat at the canoe launch parking and hope for the best. -K

We meet every other Saturday at 3 pm - Hares away at 3:30 pm

Details on where to meet will follow. New comers (virgins) are for "free".

I would like to formally request a water crossing at least waist high. Also tunnels. Bonus if you combine both at the same time.

Lol what is a shiggy trail? How far do you guys run? I'm so excited!!!

    September 1, 2012

    • Erik

Shiggy is what we call all the stuff you may encounter off the beaten path in nature, which is where our trails sometimes take us. In general, we're talking about briers and poison ivy, but also mud, creek crossings and thick brush.

We just tell people ahead of time so they can be prepared. As in, cover your legs with either long socks or light pants, and don't wear anything you don't want to get dirty.

Awesome! I am super pumped to meet everyone and shiggy down! :-)

    September 1, 2012

  • K O T.

Shiggy is a general term for stuff that gets in your way: stickers, streams, swamps, crowds, weeds..... We usually go 3 to 5 miles, but since the trail is a puzzle, we don't stay at a running pace the whole time.
