Cherokee Park - Ladies MTB Ride

This is a beginner friendly LADIES ONLY MTB ride intended to encourage women to ride.  It is an on-going, weekly ride in Cherokee Park.  Rides are at an easy, no drop pace with opportunities to stop and practice skills and obstacles.  Beginners are welcome and encouraged.

If you are new to mountain biking, this is the ride for you.  There are experience Ladies in the ride that are happy to encourage, teach and support newer riders in a safe and friendly atmosphere.

Come out and experience why we love to ride DIRT.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET and have a bike that is good working order.  As a courtesy to others, please make sure your bike and equipment are ready to roll before arrival, i.e., tires properly inflated, seats/brakes/shifting checked and/or adjusted.  We depart promptly at 6:00 pm unless you notify us that you are running late.

What to bring:  Water, spare tube, CO2 and/or a hand pump.

If weather or trails are questionable: http://kymba.org/Louisville/

Hey there! I just found this group and am interested in this ride. I am a complete beginner and wanted to ask about my bike to make sure it's capable of these rides. My bike is brand new and I was told it's a hybrid and can do trails. My tires are thinner than normal mountain bike tires though. Do you know if that would be a problem? Thank you!

there was Cheryl who made it all the way around on slicks and (i think) a hybrid. though we never saw her again...

Hi ladies. I wish I could join you this week. Unfortunately my bike was stolen Saturday evening. I just wanted to let everyone know just for the longshot that someone sees my bike. It's a flat black 2013 Trek Cali SL 29er. I'm so upset that someone took it. I don't want another bike. I WANT THAT ONE!!!!! Please keep a look out for me. I'll join you again soon I hope.
    Thanks so much.
