The entrance to La Minga is about 200 yards past the Thornton's on US 42. We are about 1 mile past Rose Island Rd on the north side of 42. if you rely on GPS, they usually indicate we are west of the actual location. Directly opposite the entrance is an abandoned car wash, beige building with blue lettering "River City S..". We will have a couple of signs out as well. When you pull in, bear to the right through the gate, as two houses share the driveway. You will see a quail hoop house under construction in the driveway next to the house. Park anywhere.

Is there a specific entrance for Sat's meeting?

Is there a schedule of what's going on for this function or is this a walk about and look on your own experience? Being new to this group and the Permaculture. What is La Minga?

It's very casual, walk around. We'll probably split into two groups. La Minga is a co-operative farm in Prospect. We have 16 acres courtesy of the Wallace family on their 600 acre conservation easement. The name is ancient Andean, and refers to the spirit of cooperation and reciprocity. I found a great explanation here: http://www.aaanet.org...

Any chance of doing this on a weekend?

    June 6, 2013

Old videos. And we've adopted permaculture as our model. We're converts, not zealots. And permaculture is a long row to hoe, if you'll pardon the pun. We'll have a visit scheduled in the next couple of weeks.

I watched one of their videos online, maybe it was old, but it didn't look anything like permaculture, it looked like a conventional organic veggie farm
