Come on out and climb with us!
If you're a beginner, you will be required to take a quick introductory course to teach you the basics of the figure 8 follow-through knot and how to belay a climber from a top rope. The introductory course starts at 7pm, and you'll have to fill out some paperwork first. The cost for the class is $35 which includes harness and shoe rental, admission, and lesson.
NOTE: You can climb without taking the class, you just won't be able to belay your partner until you do.
If you've been to Rocksport before and don't need the class, the cost of admission is $12 plus shoe and harness rental. ($8.00). If you have your own shoes and harness, you don't have to pay the rental fee. Rocksport is located in an industrial area and only has a small sign near the road - so be sure to look for the address.

Kind of just to right after walk through doors to climbing area. i may be tad late as traffic is horrible. I'll try to keep an eye out. If you are later, we may be climbing so just look around or ask staff where meetups group members are.

I'm still fighting this cold so probably won't be doing the workout session. I may just do core and boulder problems today. Haven't decided.

I will try whatever. Just want to get some experience. Like the workout aspect of it as well.

I'm interested in a workout session this meetup if someone else is interested in that. I suggest the following endurance pyramid workout:
Build a pyramid of grades that you are consistent with of 8 climbs. Eg 5.6, 5.7, 5.8, 5.9, 5.9, 5.8, 5.7, 5.6. Climb the pyramid with no rests and then switch with partner while they go. If you fall below halfway, start and try it again. If you fall again move on. If you fall above halfway count it. Try for 2 sets.
