Deck Building - Card Ratios
When building a deck in any game for the first time it can be hard to decide which cards belong. This post will provide a basic guide that can be followed for deck building in Warhammer Invasion. The basic card ratios discussed here can be applied to any deck in the game.
Basic card type ratio:
The first thing to remember when building a deck is to always keep to the minimum, every card over 50 is a barrier to a card you really need. I could go into probabilities, but I can barely wrap my head around the math and it's really boring, so just trust me and keep to 50 cards to ensure you draw what you need consistently.
Now that we know our card total, how many of each card type should we put into the deck? I always start with this break down: 1/2 Units, 1/4 Support, and 1/4 Tactics.
Below is a graphic illustrating the card ratios of a basic deck.
When I have Legends and Quest cards I assign 3 of Unit slots for the Legend and 3 of my Tactic slots for the Quest.
