Wednesday: iptables, hwloc, tmux, CodeMirror, pizza, and more!

Tomorrow's meeting is shaping up to be a great one. Four presenters so far.

IPTABLES and more
From Aaron V.: I can do a presentation on using iptables as a firewall and show off the3D scanner we built during the hackathon. The scanner is a good example of interacting with the physical world using open source tools.
HWLOC
From Jeff S.: I think I volunteered to talk about hwloc last time ( http://www.open-mpi.org/projects/hwloc/). Although I've mentioned hwloc a few times at KYOSS meetings, I don't think I've given it a proper discussion.
TMUX
From Barton C.: I would like to do a 10 or 15 minute demo of tmux, which is very similar to screen, only organized differently..
Code Mirror
From Jim T.: I'll have a few words to say about CodeMirror at the next Kyoss meeting.

CodeMirror is a Javascript library that allows for editing highlighted code online. I have used it to build a website Web Programming that shows a series of examples with provisions for experimentation. It is for educational purposes and I will be showing it to my grandson who is 16 and is learning to program. The site works in Chrome,Safari, and Comodo Dragon browsers, but has problems with Opera, Firefox, and IE. I will be adding more examples and it no doubt has some bugs yet. The highlighted code for the site is shown in the Links #15 and #16.

See our meetup page or http://kyoss.org/ for details!

See you at 6:30 p.m. at LVL1, 814 E. Broadway.

(We'll be ordering in pizza!)
