Tonight: webOS, iMacros, Ubuntu 11.10alpha, World IPv6 Day!

Well, it looks like a good program is coming together for tonight's KYOSS meeting at LVL1 (814-rear East Broadway):

  • Jim Troy (and Barton Chittenden?) on iMacros - the browser extension that allows you to record and play macros for automated page testing, form filling, etc.

  • Darren Embry on webOS - the HTML5/Linux-based mobile operating system from Palm that HP will be using on their tablets

  • Ben Fitzpatrick on Ubuntu 11.10 alpha ("Oneiric Ocelot") - The next Ubuntu release, slated for final release on October 13.

In addition, tonight's meeting will be taking place on -- (hold your breath!):

  • World IPv6 Day! - Google, Yahoo, Facebook and others will be serving pages via IPv6 to allow testing to take place. We can talk about what we need to be doing to get our systems IPv6 ready. Or at least make sure everyone knows what IPv6 is.
  • Plus, as always, the conversation will wander and you'll meet interesting people doing interesting, fun things (who may even find you interesting and/or funny :).

Meeting begins at 6:30 with a refreshments, introductions, and gentle geek-safe networking. (Tonight's special refreshments include sizzling appetizers, veggies and dips, fresh fruit, and cookies -- plus: mystery junk food!)

OCD bonus: Links and more links:

See you tonight at 6:30!
