Art, Meditation and Mindfulness - 3 week course

Mindfulness is the act of bringing compassionate awareness to the present moment. Bringing mindfulness to creative activities can help to release judgment and expectation. It promotes enjoyment of the process, without attaching to outcome and allows you to dive into the expansive peace and creative inspiration that can always be found in the stillness of the present moment.

Mindfulness is currently more needed than ever. We live in a hectic society full of daily stresses, technology and social media that can pull our attention in a multitude of different directions, which can bombard the senses easily become overwhelming.

Meditation and mindfulness provide a perfect antidote. It’s not always easy to overcome distracting thoughts and mind chatter, but creative art process can be an effective tool to slow down the mind and provide a meditative, mindful focus as well as being hugely enjoyable.

The course will involve…

Guided meditation and mindful creative art practices including mandalas, collage and painting exercises.

Techniques you can take away with you and practice at home and in your daily life.

The sessions will be relaxed, fun and a true tonic to help counterbalance stresses of modern life. So come and put any worries and stresses aside, meet some lovely people and enjoy playfully exploring your internal world and creativity.

All materials are provided

No art or meditation experience is required. Even if you can’t remember the last time you picked up a paintbrush, this is suitable for complete beginners!

The course will run from 7pm-9pm on Tuesday the 7th, 14th and 21st of October.
