Our last meeting went so well we will continue along the same line.  Everyone bring your ukulele.  To begin the meeting we will have brief introductions and show and tell about your own ukulele.  Next we will briefly cover the last meeting's song, "Let it Be".  We will then learn the song "Lay Down Sally," by Clapton concentrating on the strumming technique.  To end the meeting we will start a comprehensive discussion and exercises in picking and strumming techniques.  Its an ambitious program so come and learn or teach depending upon your skill level.  Our last meeting proved that you don't need any previous background or music experience to enjoy the ukulele.  An attendee who have literally purchased their first ukulele before the meeting left being able to play an introduction and two riffs that required picking techniques and the ability to play a song.  That folks is amazing and we can do it again next meeting, so get your ukulele and come on.

Our May meeting will continue our successful Agenda. First, show and tell, a discussion of your ukulele and interests. Next we review and learn a strum or pick or other technical feature of playing the ukulele. After that we have a jam session geared to the skills of those attending. We also have enough banjoleles so jam with those as well; its a riot. We take a coffee/coke break and finish up with reviewing available books, techniques or actual lesson plans. BRING YOUR UKULELE AND LEARN OR TEACH OR JAM OR JUST SIT AND LISEN ON MAY 18TH AT 6 PM - MY HOUSE.
