Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds

For those of you who remember the album of the War of the Worlds this is for you!

Basically what Jeff Wayne has done is take his original soundtrack, slightly remixed it and taken it on tour around the world. Alongside that clever CGI people have created a film for behind the orchestra for people to watch. It features the likes of Liam Neeson, Gary Barlow and Jason Donovan (both on stage and as holographics I think)

Anyway the film the Embassy are showing is of the show (cause it's not coming to NZ) so you can watch the whole experience! So it's a stage show on film!

Never been to something like this but I love the music so should be good! For more details head to:

http://www.eventcinemas.co.nz/movie/The-War-Of-The-Worlds----Alive-On-Stage!-The-New-G

and watch the trailer.

I'm going anyway so if you fancy coming along sign up.  Embassy say there are plenty of seats available, so just turn up on the night and we'll buy our tickets together as a group and we should all be seated in the same area.

Tickets are the usual $20 per person.

The show starts at 6pm so we can meet at 5.30pm and buy our tickets (plus there is a bar for those who fancy a cheeky beverage beforehand!)

Musical & theatrical brilliance! Such a privilege to actually see the musicians bring this timeless piece of work to life. I want to go again! .......... and Jason Donovan, nicely done. Tonight I will reclaim you as an Australian, rather than pass you off as British (as during those embarrassing 80's years). :-)
