Indoor Sport: Have-A-Go at Korfball

The Wellington Korfball Club is running a free Have a go session, for anyone who would like to try out a new sport for winter.

We will be teaching the basics of Korfball and running some fun games.

Korfball is a Dutch game from the same family as Netball and Basket ball.

The main differences are:
The post is 6 meters in from the edge, so you play around the post not just in front of it.
You can’t shoot if your defended, so there is more team play to get the ball and a player free.
Korfball is completely non-contact (not controlled contact).

Come along if you would like to try something new and have fun with a great group of people.

To see Korfball being played check out a video of our first game in Taupo:

How fit do you have to be?

You play at your own pace and we take lots of water breaks so you don't have to be hugely fit.
