This group created on Meetup.com was inspired by the works and unorthodox life of spiritual world traveler, artist and activist, Thomas Merton. It is for anyone who would like to collectively engage in activities that promote interfaith dialogue. It is not geared toward one particular religious group, movement, or organization. We are here to share and learn!
Activities will include book discussions (including other writers), guest speakers, visiting places of various spiritual traditions, engaging in meditation practices, attending events/workshops/seminars/ that promote interfaith dialogue, spiritual growth, compassion, altruism, and perhaps an annual visit to the Abbey of Gethsemani.
This group will be dynamic, fun, and interesting. It is for all ages and backgrounds. Please feel free to contact me with suggestions or questions. Looking forward to sharing and growing with you!
“If you want to identify me, ask me not where I live, or what I like to eat, or how I comb my hair, but ask me what I am living for, in detail, ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for.”- Thomas Merton
