In our 5pm session I teach simple African drum patterns and skills for beginners and intermediate drummers to learn at a comfortable pace. I try to teach in a relaxed friendly and inclusive environment.

Intermediate and continuing beginners are also welcome at this class where I teach patterns according to your skill level.

We also look at the basics of using percussion and understanding how a drum circle works so that everyone can find a comfortable way to make really satisfying fun music whatever their individual skills may be.

In our 6.40pm session we open the circle up to players of all abilities in a fun sociable circle which may incorporate other instruments, dance or chant depending on the preferences in the group. Together we will use the patterns and skills developed in the earlier session to make fantastic inclusive music together. Whatever your level of ability, you're bound to enjoy it!

At 8pm we pack away and drink tea upstairs - our regulars are a lovely bunch.

Costs are £9 /£7 cons for 1 hour 20 minute session. Your second session is half price! (drum hire is £1).

Parking is dependant on it being a match day or not. Arsenal football ground is nearby. It is free from 1pm I think on non match days, and later if there is a match.
