I went home feeling happy to be a part of this awesome event it was so much fun. I got to meet a lot of great people my favorite moment was when we helped a young man "Emmit (aka Mike?? (he hates his name). He found a pair of glasses he was so thankful to find a pair of glasses that he could actually see clearly with. He said I have not seen so clearly in years. I can even see your freckles lol. He was so thankful!! So many things we take for granted like a pair of glasses. I give God thanks for so many people that made this event happen who serve with Love freely to help our fellow brothers and sisters. Praise God!!

    Can I bring my children?
Yes, but we would prefer that they be 12 years or older. Insurance and other logistical reasons establish this requirement. There are no child sitting services at the event.

The link that i posted gives a insite on any questions we may have
This place is huge and there will be a lot a lot of people 11,000+ not counting the orgainers and volunteers and children with their patents as the guest coming and going and if she get lost or seperated from you it will be heart broken for her as well you the event is so geared to handing and walking till it may not be wise for her age not that they will turn you away. So just be mindful of her safety please we wouldnt want any1 to be hurt or lost.

    FYI

Arrive 15-30 minutes early for your shift. Come to volunteer check-in when you get to the Dallas Convention Center. There you will receive your name badge and further instructions.

Wear a RED T-shirt (we will have shirts for sale for $10 Saturday)

DO NOT bring in purses, coats or anything that you will need to "keep up with" there is no place to put your belongings. If you bring in a coat it will most likely be given away.
