hi Carolyn, you s/be able to buy tickets on line and pick up at Annie's Lane. I have never been there so can't work out a meetup point - there would be a cellar sales area maybe we meet there. otherwise buy a bus ticket through LinkSA and meet us at the Festival theatre bus top Z3 King William Rd at 12.35pm so that we can all go together

I will be catching a LinkSA bus at 12.35pm King William Road along with 3 other people from this group from what i can tell (my +1, Lyn Fisher & Leona). I will be wearing orange shorts, so you can't miss me! The rest of the group I hope to see you at Annie's lane when we arrive. It should be a great day!!

could everyone not actually attending this event - cancel their RSVP because we don't want to be waiting for people that aren't coming on the day

    January 22, 2014

  • Inez

that is excellent Lyn, it should be a great day - are you meeting us at the bus stop outside the festival theatre?

    January 22, 2014

  • lyn f.

count me in, i am a new member, this is my first gig, so will need to learn the how to's

    January 22, 2014

    • Sharon

Hi Lyn, welcome to the group. You will notice at the top right side of this Day on the Green page that there is a question with Will You attend? Under are 2 buttons, click the YES button and it will then make you an RSVP YES. That was Inez as host can send emails to all the YES people and you will be included. I hope you enjoy this event and you will find everyone very friendly. Cheers Sharon (this Meetup Organiser)

due to the difficulties in getting any responses and the susceptibility of people changing their minds - I am going to use LinkSA and catch a bus from King William Road, at the Festival Theatre, Bus Zone Z3 at 12.35pm on Saturday 8th February 2014 - the cost is $40 - anyone who would like to attend is welcome to join me otherwise I will see you all at another meetup. Their website is http://www.linksa.com.au/ for further information.

  • Inez

cool that brings us to 6 from this group - i am just waiting on a return call from lower northern coaches about prices and pick up - will let you know when i know

    December 16, 2013

  • Karen H.

I've RSVPd for this with Adelaide. Prof Singles as well. I'm all for the hiring of bus -happy to prepay. I also have a +1.

  • Inez

thank you for the reply. so far we have Ruth, myself and Wendy plus one as definitely going
any more? i am getting back to a former member next Friday (13th)

    December 7, 2013

  • Ruth

Hi everyone I definitely will go let me know details of bus arrangements and payment of it when organised. I will buy $90 ticket

    December 7, 2013

  • Inez

Hi guys i just spoke to the lovely chap (Leon) from Lower north coaches - until we have definite numbers he is reluctant to talk pricing - he has a range of bus sizes and in the past people have stayed overnight at Clare but he is happy to take us back afterwards if the numbers a significant
Wendy - i already have my ticket for a day on the green so i am not sure LinkSA will allow me to only pay the bus fare?

    December 5, 2013

  • Inez

Hi Wendy & everyone, a former member has said we need to pay $50 each for a driver she knows and we a need a minimum of 12 people from this group - what do you all think??
really need feedback on who is definitely going and wants a bus - maybe LinkSA will be cheaper and easier - i have also made inquiries with Lower North Coaches but no reply yet
is there a mimimum number for LinkSa or can we just "catch the bus"?

    December 5, 2013

  • Wendy E.

I am in for the bus, $40-$45 would be great. LinkSA is running a bus, but it is $50.00, $145.50 including concert ticket, but only picking up from Southern Suburbs and last pick up at Ashford, Anzac Highway. Cheers, Wendy

happy to organise it if other people who want to go can let me know if they would like to use the bus service. i think we need 10-14 min
    not sure.
when i spoke to him before about it he said he could go to a couple of different congregating places, peoples homes,
i think he would need the cash in advance, so perhaps if there are enough takers for a bus, i can let him know and we can do bank transfer to me and then i can forward. if someone else wants to do the bus organising i can supply the phone number , just let him know your calling because of me. not sure the price is the same for all enquirers.smaller the bus makes it more expensive. bigger bus of 20 odd is a little bit cheaper.. as you would expect.so perhaps if those who want to join the bus can think about it and confirm their interest and acceptance of the bus idea. we can go ahead and organise it.cheers

Hi Mary, I love your bus idea and $40-50 is a good price given that Clare is quite a bit further out of Adelaide than the Barossa. Where might the mini bus leave from? I'm assuming somewhere in the Adelaide CBD? And just for info, I have to buy a $90 ticket because that is all my current student budget will allow.

    November 20, 2013

  • Inez

great work! I like either of those options, but it would be good to hear what everyone else thinks

    November 20, 2013

  • Mary P.

i think $90 ticket is ok. i know someone who has a new bus taking 14 or 15 can contact him unless people dont want to do that.
i think it would be about 45-50 dollars for each of us for the day...
whats everyone elses opinion .. may also have a bus for 10 if some want to drive.

    November 19, 2013

  • Inez

I am buying the $90 ticket, what about you guys?
also I think a bus might be the go (safer than my driving) -
silly question, but do you need a special bus license to hire a minibus?

    November 19, 2013

  • Karen H.

I'd be glad to commit money for a bus rather than having to find my own way there. I like a drink or two. I also think the lineup looks fab. I have great memories of most of the performers and James Reyne and John Stevens are still easy on the eye, lol.

    November 18, 2013

  • Inez

yep it should be the Clare Valley, not sure how to correct map.
We will see how many people want to attend first, and then work out a car pooling system - unless we hire a small bus - all suggestions welcome!

    November 18, 2013

    • Mary P.

so we have to buy our own ticket? &which one is being bought-the $ 90 or the $ 130?

      November 18, 2013

  • Mary P.

yes please for transport.. can anyone please give me a lift..?thanks

    November 18, 2013

  • Mary P.

dont know if youre aware , but the directions map are pointing to the top of south and marion road.,.
last time i checked , annie lane was near clare?
has anyone else looked at that error..
    could be misleading.. :) cheers

    November 18, 2013

  • Diane

Just wondering if transport is going to be organised?

    November 18, 2013

  • Inez
